I apologize for my lack of posts recently, I have been working away trying to fight off the slow season and keep my business steady. We have all been working on our goals lately and what we plan on doing for the year 2013. This is a huge part to being successful, if your goals aren’t written down and in front of you, how will you know what to go for? 2012 was a good year for me, and I want to make 2013 even better. I plan on doubling the amount of business I do. For this to be possible I have to do what I know and get creative.
Firstly, the things I know. I am going to do Open Houses, 2 a month at least, its good exposure for the teams listings, and I get to be out talking to people about buying homes. I am going to send monthly postcards to 3 sets of condos, hoping that they will remember my name when they are ready to sell their condo and buy a new home. And I am going to be talking to my friends about who they might know that wants to buy a home. My business is all about referrals, so I have to count on my friends and past clients to send people my way.
Secondly, the creative things, these are much harder to come up with. My first thought is to give away an Ipad, who doesn’t want one of those! The trick is how can I get clients out of it? I decided to do a contest based on Open houses, if you come see me, or send someone to me, you get entered! I’m excited about it and hoping it generates some business. Even one client out of it will make it worth the time. You can get more info here . Another thing I am going to do is give my past clients gifts, you wouldn’t think this would fall into the creative category, but most realtors don’t pay much attention to someone after their home has closed. I want to make clients for life, so every year they get an anniversary present and a christmas present.
Writing down the goals is the easy part, now I just need to keep myself accountable, which I will do here on my blog, and with all the members of the Turner Team. I’m looking forward to next year and I hope you are too! If you have any real estate needs, let me know!
